D2 TEAM-Sim named Top Simulation & Training Companies of 2010
Military Training Technology has named D2 TEAM-Sim as one of the "2010 Top Simulation & Training Companies" on their annual list of companies from around the world that have made a significant impact on the military training industry. Selected by an impartial panel, D2 TEAM-Sim was recognized as a leader in constructive simulation, distributed learning and software.
D2 TEAM-Sim wins GameTech 2010 Award
D2 TEAM-Sim was given an "Innovations in DoD Gaming" award at the 2010 Defense GameTech Users’ Conference held in Orlando, FL on March 29-31, 2010.
D2 TEAM-Sim speaks at MODSIM World
James Cimino, D2 TEAM-Sim’s Director of Technology Innovation, gave 2 presentations at MODSIM World, Oct. 13th -15th, 2010 in Hampton, VA. James spoke on the 13th as part of the Defense Applications of Serious Games & Virtual Worlds track. His first session was on "Leveraging Gaming Technology to Deliver Effective Training", and the 2nd was on "Leveraging M&S in Soft Skills Training for the DoD".

National Defense Industrial Association mentions D2 TEAM-Sim in their National Defense blog posting. The blog post, entitled "Hollywood 3-D Tech, iPods, iPads, Augmented Reality Draw Crowds at Military Training Expo: UPDATED", discusses new and exciting technologies featured on the exhibition floor at I/ITSEC 2010. D2 TEAM-Sim participates in the ADL Co-Lab’s TIP Initiative
The ADL worked with vendors who used their mobile content development tools to build a prototype of the “Trafficking in Persons” (TIP) course. D2 TEAM-Sim was one of 10 vendors selected to participate in this initiative. The results were presented on March 24th, 2011 during the ADL Co-Lab’s Mobile Learning Team’s Mobile Boot Camp: Mobile Best practices presentation at GameTech 2011. The presentation was given by Judy Brown and Jason Haag.

D2 TEAM-Sim exhibited at the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) Technology Showcase on June 22nd and 23rd at the Hartford Technical High School. The APG Technology Showcase displays many of the new and exciting Technologies that companies and government organization are bringing to the table to help APG meet the growing demand to meet the warfighters needs in the war against Terrorism.

James spoke at two separate breakout sessions:"Augmented Reality: A New Dimension in Training" and "Leveraging Game Technology to Deliver Effective Training".

James Cimino, D2 TEAM-Sim’s Director of Technology Innovation, was selected to speake at 2011 UNITY Developer’s conference. The conference was held in San Francisco, from September 27th - 30th. D2 TEAM-Sim was selected to be part of the serious games showcase session on Unity projects "in the wild".

D2 TEAM-Sim is proud to be one of the sponsors of the first-ever mLearning DevCon. The mobile learning developers conference was held October 5 – 5th at Montclair University, Montclair New Jersey. Not only was D2 TEAM-Sim a sponsor of this conference, but was a speaker at the conference as well. James Cimino, the Director of Technical Innovation for D2 TEAM-Sim delivered two separate sessions at the conference. The first session was "Leveraging Gaming Technology to Deliver Effective Training" and the second session was on "Augmented Reality: The Next Dimension".

D2 TEAM-Sim both exhibited and spoke at the 2011 DevLearn conference, in Las Vegas. The show was held on November 2nd - 4th, at the brand new Aria Hotel and convention center. James Cimino, D2 TEAM-Sim’s Director of Technology Innovation, spoke at the conference, as one of the Master Class Sessions on the Virtaul Learning Stage.

As part of the PRISM Consortium, we had a significant presence in booth #2581, showcasing our DIF technology for training development and maintenance.

D2 TEAM-Sim exhibited at the 2012 Defense GameTech Users’ Conference held in Orlando, FL on March 28-30, 2012. James Cimino, the Director of Technical Innovation for D2 TEAM-Sim, spoke on Friday the 30th, as part of the "Serious Games: Case Studies for Cross Platform Development" track.
US ARMY AIR DEFENDER APP NOW AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD
The Air Defense Artillery (ADA) Branch has released its new app, “US Army Air Defender”. “US Army Air Defender” is available as a free download on the iTunes Store, Google Play and can be played on the web at http://www.usarmyairdefender.com/d2teamsim.html. The App, developed by D2 TEAM-Sim, was created to be used as a recruiting tool for ADA and simulates the progression of an ADA officer from entry level to general officer. Throughout the app, a player conducts training daily to become eligible for promotion. While playing, individuals will learn about ADA weapon systems, assignments, organizations, and history.
