PM Mortars – Mortar Fire Control System (MFCS) Equipment Training for the US Army
The Challenge: PM Mortars needed to find a way to decrease the amount of classroom time required for their NET (New Equipment Training) class. Instructional methods at the time required over 80 hours of instructor led classroom training. PM Mortars wanted a computer based training solution that would give soldiers more knowledge before entering the course thereby reducing the amount of class time needed.
Our Solution: Our solution was to create a browser-based, fully web deliverable training application. We combined software emulation, video instruction, 3D animation and a text to speech driven avatar into 11 hours of Level 2 IMI for the Mortar Fire Control System. This reduces the hours required to train a soldier and lowers the over-all training cost.
